A space to get curious about what's possible — for your child, your family, or yourself.

Why Curious Grounding

I spent thirteen years teaching before I became a therapist — long enough to watch a lot of kids get handed the same box and told it was the right one. It rarely was.

The truth is, none of us were built to fit just one box — not as kids, not as parents, not as adults still untangling what we were taught to believe about ourselves. Curious Grounding is built on a simple idea: when you get curious enough to question the box you were handed, it lays the grounding for a life that actually feels like yours.

That's the thread running through everything here — however you got here, here's where to start.

Question the box you were handed.

A collection of items on a white surface, including a blue regulation bin labeled Melanie's, a Tangram Puzzle, a pink planner, a yellow sticky note pad, a blue pencil, a blue timer displaying 03:00, a plush monkey toy, a small container of Play-Doh, a clear plastic container filled with colorful links, a gray device, and a black and clear water dispenser with a leafy design. There is also a printed emoji chart pinned inside the bin with the title 'This is how I regulate' and instructions to identify feelings and choose a tool for feelings.
